Visit Melges Europe to see the Audi Melges 20 and Melges 32, both on display at the Genoa Boat Show alongside of Audi's latest line-up of automotive products.



Milan, Italy (6 October 2009) - The 49th Annual Genoa Boat Show happens on October 3-11 at Fiera di Genova nestled within the spectacular settings of the Italian port city, Liguria.

Audi�s close relationship with the yachting world is proven once more as the German auto maker�s presence will be felt. On display, Audi will feature its latest product line of modern and sophisticated cars. Positioned perfectly alongside, see the brand new Audi Melges 20 and Melges 32 sportboats sold and distributed by Melges Europe based in Milan, Italy and produced by international corporate headquarters Melges Performance Sailboats located in Zenda, Wisc. USA.

During the event, 16 Audi vehicles will be made available to organizers as courtesy cars, including the flagship Audi A8, S6 and A5 Sportback as well as the versatile Audi Q5 and Q7 SUVs.

Inside the exhibition area, Audi will feature the very sleek and sexy R8 V10 and A5 within a special-design, single-frame structure shaped in the image of the stylish, trademark Audi grille. Accentuating the space is the high performance one design Melges 32 and the Audi Melges 20 - the two yachts by which Audi sponsors sailing series circuits in Italy. Audi is the international sponsor of the Audi Melges 20.

With this display and strong level of boat show support, Audi has reaffirmed its confidence in the world of sailing and high performance yachting - a fascinating sport that effectively combines the efforts of technology research and industrial design making for fast, fun simplified racing.
